This species is a cross between L. angustifolia and L. latifolia.  Their fragrance has a distinctive camphoric note with woody undertones.  This is the most widely distilled lavender and produces the longest stems.

{Grosso is a French lavadin variety that carries a long-lasting strong fragrance on long stems.  Ideal for fresh or dried bouquets and crafts.  This variety has the highest oil content of all lavenders.  Stem length: 20-24 in.}


~'Fred Boutin'

{Fred Boutin desplays a beautiful light purple flowers on long stems.  It holds its color very well making it a great choice for dried bouquets and crafts.  This is one of the last to bloom in the season. Stem length: 16-18 in.}


~'Hidcote Giant'

{Hidcote Giant has dark, violet-blue flowers that are uniquely large and plump.  The flower fragrance is strong and the long stems perfect for bouquets and crafts. Stem length: 24-30 in}
